I searched the forums and asked around, but I wasn't able to find an answer. What level is the second damage cap removed/raised?

Right now I am a 21 ogre SK and with my 18dmg weapon I hit for 36, the same damage I hit for at level 10. Now on live at level 20 this cap was raised/removed, but it doesn't seem to have been on p99. I asked another SK my level and he hasn't had it removed either. I also asked a level 35 SK and he said that it was removed at 20 so either he is wrong and the cap it different than live, or it is not working correctly.

Just wondering if anyone knows what is up.

Hybrid damage cap is bugged as far as I'm aware, and way too low.

Melee damage in general is absolutely abysmal.

For example, monks are less damage than a mage pet 5-10 levels lower than they are.

At least for warriors on live the damage cap limited the actual listed weapon dmg to 10 until level 10. Then the cap is 14 until you reach level 20. I *think* it was 28 or something close to that until level 30, which in classic didnt affect very many weapons at all.

I don't think you are running into an issue with an actual dmg cap with an 18 dmg weapon doing 36 damage, but rather possibly just issues with the way dmg is calculated in general on p1999. On live that weapon would have been capped to 2*14 +str bonus, so probably hitting for 29ish max until lvl 20. Here I believe there is just a total cap of 20 till lvl 10 and 40 until lvl 20. So actually you were doing more damage from 10 to 20 then you would have likely done on live.

My level 10 shaman can hit for 40.
