View Full Version : Pathing Dreadlands: Frontier Mountain Enterance and Mobs

So there was this weird issue with mobs that we encountered doing Dreadlands tonight (for like, eight hours). It wouldn't happen all the time, but it would happen maybe twice an hour or so. So pretty rarely. We were camping the entrance to Frontier Mountains, which is right behind a hill, and between two Greek-looking columns. Periodically, the mobs we would pull would get stuck between the columns and "bug out." They'd just sort of turn back and forth in place rapidly, and wouldn't attack, which made some of them easy kills. Sometimes, when that didn't happen, some mobs would fall through the world, and then attack us from underground, and we'd have to zone. In addition, if someone trained the zone out, and we had to leave, when we would come back, some mobs would be somewhat stuck in that similar loop, but doing a wide pacing, back and forth. They wouldn't reset back to their regular pathing.

While this is rare, it happened enough that we all noticed it.

This is still happening as of last night. Notice it (falling though the world, and being able to hit us from the underground) seems to mostly affect Drachnids and Cockatrice mobs. There is also a Drachnid Widow that seems to have been modded to specifically avoid the "fall through the world" spot, but when she goes near it, she paths all over the place crazy style. It's really funny to watch.

This is still an issue. Seems to have become a bigger issue, since bard swarm kiters will flee out this zone exit sometimes, and many of the drolvargs from the swarm train will get caught and not reset/path back, making it a pain to use the FM zone. Also still having mobs fall through the ground too.
