Why is the velks xp mod so bad? This should be a hot zone to spread people out from just Kunark 50+. I don't understand the GMs reasoning behind this.

Stick to Kunark for levels, or vanilla up to 54 if you're evil and dont like guards or nobles very much.

Spent a lot of time in there on live when Velious was new. Enjoyed it, but not so much here.

Xp is probably bad because the drops are awesome and people would play there even with next to no xp. Also its no more a raid zone than Karnors is one.

Velious isnt a good expansion for exp.. its all about loot and raids

Isn't there a revamp that makes it better to grind in for xp groups? http://wiki.project1999.com/Players:EQLive_Timeline says it's coming in the May 2001 update.
