Kunark Beta Phase 1

Greetings.

We are beginning Phase 1 of the public Kunark Beta tonight. The beta server will be open for everyone to log into. All characters have been copied to the beta server from the live server at the state they were in as of December 4th, roughly around 3 AM. All characters have been moved to the East Commonlands tunnel, near the Shady Swashbuckler. Near him you will also find "Old Man Thorren". Mr. Thorren will teleport you to kunark, and he can also bind you.

As each phase of beta progresses, we will be focusing the test on specific zones. Phase 1 will see the following zones available:
West Cabilis
East Cabilis
Field of Bone
Kurn's Tower
Firiona Vie
Lake of Ill Omen
Warsliks Woods
Dreadlands
Temple of Droga
Swamp of no Hope
Kaesora
Frontier Mountains
Dalnir

As you can see, the immediate area for all starting iksars is available for testing. The creation of iksars is unlocked and we encourage people to test all aspects of it.

Reporting Issues
A new section of the forums specifically for Kunark has been created. Please read the description of each forum when posting a bug to make sure it goes in the right place. Please search the forums to make sure a thread hasn't already been created for the problem. When posting, please be as descriptive as possible.

I can't stress the latter enough.. The developers have tremendous amounts of work to do, and we really need the players to help make our jobs easier by filling in as much information as possible. This means the difference between "Soandso is spawning in the wrong location" and "Soandso is a male iksar spawning at location x, y, z, but based on <reference given=""> he should be spawning at location x, y, z." Bug reports that aren't descriptive will be ignored or deleted.

Getting Involved
In addition to helping with bug reports, we hope that some players will take a more proactive role in assisting us with further development of Kunark. We have created a new IRC Channel (#p1999kunark) for specific discussions related to the Kunark Beta and it's development.

Differences on the Beta Server
The beta server will not be monitored as much, if at all, for petitions. The boxing limit / IP Blocking has been removed (You may box on the Beta server), and serverwide OOC has been enabled.</reference>

I hit for max 22 instead of 18 on the classic server! (millertime 24th level shamy whamy)

I went to kurns tower, the skellys are bunched to the left side at the ent i only remember 1 on the left one on the right, with a wanderer that would come down to the zone in and back to the stairs i think.

if you go to the down stairs by the hidden section there was a skelly on each side of the entrance there with one skelly that roamed up and down the stairs.

I didn't go any further because, I didn't think the zone was touched.

I still think, that for the duration of the Beta Phases (a week, maybe two tops?) if P99 Main Server was taken down, each Beta Phase would have ALOT more players for testing just so they can wrap it up and get back to their "poopsocking" routines.

oh noes we have to waste our precious eq time on a temp char.... when in reality eq itself is the ultimate timesink and everyone here knows it. if people would stop being selfish and actually band together to get this done and over with rather then only thinking about the method in which they waste their time, kunark would prolly be done by now. or sooner at least.

Kunark beta back up.

Would it be possible to retransfer characters on project 1999 to the kunark beta? My rog was lvl 41 when the first beta came out and I'd rather play her now at lvl 50 geared than having to relvl from 41 to 50 on the beta server.

yeah found him, thanks though. I went to frontier mountains and the giant on the right side of entrance was bugged, pet would not go in to get him. The pet would go in to get left side though
