Currently, the way coinsplit works on this server:

Mob drops 5 gold, everyone gets 8 silver
Mob drops 5 silver, everyone gets 8 copper.

This can easily be tested by grabbing a partner and splitting a gold piece (becomes 5 silver each).

Incraments too small to be split (5 copper in a group of six) provide a blank line "You recieve as your split."

Also, excess coin (split 7 in a group of 6) vanishes; everyone gets 1 copper.

3. Masterloot. Auto split rounds off the split to the nearest looted coin, and therefore favors those who loot. Two things that make MLing a lot easier for me are to empty my cash on hand into the bank before I LFG, and to have my first stack of reagents be a full one. Easier to keep track of credits and debits that way. Be excruciatingly fair when you ML. That plus good healing will keep you in groups.

And the loot is pretty decent too. When I group we usually do Alpha loot with autosplit off (in case you didn't know, autosplit is bugged big time and only divides on the total number of coins.. not the total amount). In the last week I have looted 3 Sarnak Flesh Harvesters (at 250pp per they are quite nice).

Also, money weighs a lot. A lot of people destroy copper/silver. Convince your group to not use autosplit and make sure you loot some mobs yourself. This is because autosplit isn't a fair split of the coin, it gives most of it to the looter so the rest of the group members get stuck with the small change that still weighs a ton.

I'm looking for further/older evidence, but the way I'm pretty sure it works:

Splits round to whoever loots/split:
5 plat, 5 gold, 5 silver, 5 copper in a group of 6 goes all to the looter.
7 plat is 2 plat to the looter, 1 to everyone else.

Anyways, hopefully someone can corroborate on this.

I think this is still screwy. The looter is not properly favored with the autosplit.
