Is it possible to lose enough faction to become KOS to merchants? And do merchants give exp?

I've been attacked by Bankers in Rivervale and I've seen a Troll Shaman killing the Banker in HK repeatedly as it agroed him all the time.

As for an actual merchant, I'm not sure.

People that kill Freeport Guards, or any other city's guards, hopefully they can chime in.

It is certainly possible to become KOS to certain merchants on certain factions (coalition of tradefolk, merchants of rivervale, etc). But even if you became KOS to the merchants in one area, you would not be KOS to ALL merchants throughout Norrath.

this just depends if the mob (merchant) gives you a negative faction for the faction they are on if you kill em of course..

if i smash guards in grobb, i lose faction with the grobb merchants too..
however if i smash guards in oggok, i can still sell to those bad boy merchants...

being a chanter, neither situation affects me.

Same thing in Freeport, you don't lose faction with freeport merchants for killing the militia
