Plane of Mischief Misc. Unclassic/Missing Things

Random Zonewide Drops:

Currently mischief creatures have a chance to drop Cards and Words of Wealth pieces. However all of them should also have a chance to drop several other items:

Posts about the Tasty Candy / Super Sweet Fishing Grubs from November 2001 boards:

The patch said they were only going to do some database maintenence. Just wondering if tasty candy and sweet fishing grubs were still dropping (since they seem out of place, might have been a database error).

I am still looking for the evidence to back up the Jewelcrafting bars / Peridot / Malachite drops.

Forages:

Also I've yet to see a Lost Marble foraged out of Plane of Mischief, which should be a commonly foraged item:

Lost Marbles
Been foraging up alot of these, no idea what to do with them, so I decided to start giving them out to NPC's. I know Irontail has given out a bunch of these already, but here is my twist: I will give them out 4 at a time.

First Victim: Rissa, result...nada

Any sugestions as to whom to try next?

Corpse Dragging:

Like the rest of Velious, this should generate aggro when you drag any corpse .

PoM Boards July 2001

Quote:

I didn't see this mentioned any place obvious, so I thought I'd add it as an important piece of information (especially for the 'Death in Mischief' thread). Dragging a corpse is considered a hostile act by certain mob types in Mischief.

Specifically, treasure chests and rats in the maze consider dragging a corpse as a hostile act, and will aggro. What other mobs have people noticed being hostile?

(As an aside, castle mobs will assist pansies if you run into the castle aggro, hehe).

KOS Mobs:

There are a couple incorrect flags in both directions of the KoS spectrum:

The 8 halflings which spawn when aggroing the center Treasure Chest should be flagged non-KoS. They should however assist the Treasure Chest. This of course gives the illusion that they are indeed KoS, but they aren't. If you zone off or if someone else was the one to aggro the chest, they should not be KoS. These mobs:
  • Dupple
  • Nupple
  • Snitch
  • Blich
  • Plupple
  • Krupple
  • Stitch
  • Kitch

The Treasure Chest located out in the forest area near the mushrooms at loc (-283, 550, 94.72) should be flagged KoS.

Also the 3 rooted halflings, Abbis, Dabbis and Doobis apparently should be racist halflings (attacking evil races with their bows if you go into their aggro radius), which they do not do currently on P99.

*KoS NPCs*

Aside from the Pansies, there are a few KoS NPCs you will have to contend with. The first of which is also in the courtyard with the pansies... "a Treasure Chest" is surrounded by four halflings. It is KoS to everyone, however it is rooted and will not move when aggroed. It no longer summons, as someone at Verant apparently changed this feature... As long as you don't go afk sitting on top of him, you will be safe.

Five is a KoS trap near Chuckles on your path to the garden. His max hit is a whopping four damage, and it doesn't move. You cannot attack it, it's just there to annoy/shock someone.

Bit and Mizer: These two halflings can prove troublesome. They are located in the dining room, located on the chandolier above Dinner. Luckily, they are rooted there and will not chase you. Since they are wizards, once aggroing them they will attempt to kill you via spells until you get out of range, so beware when entering that area. Again, it is not safe to take advantage of their unability to move as they do summon you once damaged.

Puppets: The puppets are fairly complicated to get into here, but the spawn every day at around 8am ingame and despawn around 10am ingame. They *are* rooted, but depending on your alignment some gods will attack you. Tunare attacks me, a warrior following Karana. I spent time in PoG, so she probably is tied to some faction there. Likewise my Rallos faction is messed up from Ogres in WK, and Rallos attacks me. So don't be surprised if some puppets attack you, but they are not really a threat since they are rooted.

Stomples: When killing Sniffles the rabbit at the end of Alice in Wonderland, a level 60 KoS rabbit named Stomples will spawn. He is fairly difficult, and killing him results in a negative faction hit for the ENTIRE zone, which is on Denizens of Mischief faction. One kill will make you apprehensive to the ENTIRE zone, so just don't kill Sniffles and you will be safe.

For evil characters only: At the very end of Alice in Wonderland, where Stomples spawns, you will see the three halflings on top of the giant tables. They are all rooted, but as my Dark Elf mage found out, they will attack you with bows and arrows if you are of evil descent. It isn't very dangerous, but something to be cautious of.

That candy is interesting, only 0.0 wt food I know about (outside of GM event stuff). Fairly useless and doubt it would ever retail for much, but cool perk of the zone nonetheless.

Is it classic that the Robe of Distraction has no graphic? I just completed this last night and was hoping for some fun robe graphic to play with until i get my hands on a necro doll. Instead I got a cloth shirt =*(

The entire Distraction set has no graphics because you're "naked" wearing it. :D
