Magician Solo-Guide (Is there One?)
 

Hey all,

Getting pretty darn close to level 29 and I am at a crossroads as to where to solo next. Some say MM some say stay in South Karana. The only problem is that south karana mobs are getting a tad low and MM mobs are too close together to get them single pulled.

Is there any place I can solo and get decent exp without getting 2-3 mobs at once?

Also, is there a magician solo guide out that I could take a look at?

yeah guards....all the way to 50, i did it.

Which guards and where?

Freeport guards, start with Ledshin and Mizraen, then once u get to low 30s, work ur way up to the others but Kroon and Inofus. U will need to use fire, and chain them.

Do they have a fast spawn rate or something? Excuse me for asking but I have never killed guards in FP before so I am unsure. Fire shouldnt be a problem as I have my focus item now.

I think FP guards spawn every 6 minutes. I might be wrong though.

Highkeep. Tons of guards in your level range, good loot, good ZEM, and you can kill Tyrana for some 20 HP rings if you want. You could even move up to nobles and go all the way to 50 in this zone. Also, you don't really trash any important factions.

Note: I never got a chance to do Highkeep since when I was leveling my mage the zone was broken. But Highkeep has since been fixed, and it was the best classic solo exp zone in the game (and nobles were still the better than anything in Kunark for awhile). The only thing that beat it was a charm sola gnome group up to 40. At that point, if you were a shaman, necro, enchanter, or mage, it wasn't worth grouping. Did you do this Solo or in a group?

Solo, such is the life of a mage. I also plvled friends there when I hit 39+ by allowing them the honor of grouping(leeching) exp off me.
