EQ Emu Launcher

The Launcher will not load the servers--it's like my computer won't let it connect to the internet (But clearly my internet connection is fine). The white bar at the top of the launcher that typically has some kind of web page/header it in simply reads like a web page that could not load: "Navigation to the web page was canceled." Any ideas? It was working just fine a couple hours ago...

Several others are having this issue as well. I got kicked out of the game and then had this happen. You are not alone

Good to know--thanks. I also have the 1.22 version of the launcher--it updates itself every time I open. I need to find a place to just get the 1.24 version.

Genedin 12-18-2012 11:59 PM

maybe the problem? i have the same error and i run 1.22 though i thought it updated auto

medievalerror 12-19-2012 12:00 AM

It usually does auto update--I think the major problem we're having is that it is no longer auto updating. It is trying to connect to servers with the 1.22 version, which isn't possible.

let me know if ya fix it

medievalerror 12-19-2012 12:16 AM

I also get message, "Error when retrieving the latest version" I assume of the EMU Launcher. If anyone knows where I can download the 1.24 version, please let me know.

I have 1.24 and I'm getting the same error: "Could not reach webserver. Trying again in 10 seconds." etc.

I also tried right clicking on the top and selecting "Only Start Everquest" but then I get the spell file is out of date error.

Genedin 12-19-2012 12:35 AM

thats not promising.

also i think you can get it from moestaverne.com
that appears to be not responding.
assuming that the launcher is run on the same server or network as the website that is also not responding, we may have to wait until they fix whatever issues they are having.

I now have correct version, but still getting the spell file error.
