Anyone else play this awesome game?

I played the heck out of Call of Pripyat too.

Was just going through some obscure film stuff and stumbled across THIS:

Stalker (1979)

Apparently this was the movie that inspired the game, and not the other way around?

Very excited as I'm a huge fan of the world in the games. Will probably watch in the next couple of weeks if I can convince a fellow friend and fan to sit through a 2.5 hr black and white Russian sci fi movie.

I want to point out that the Stalker movie came out BEFORE the Chernobyl disaster!!!

If ur into russian nuclear movies check out Pisma mertvogo cheloveka if you can even find it. Slow but definitely fits an apoc world. (also named dead man's letter)

I didn't realize that. Pretty fucking cool. I really loved the mystical element of the "wish room" at the end of SoC and that they incorporated multiple endings based on your game history.

Remember that mission where you go into the sewers and have to fight the first Bloodsucker? I got so scared I closed the game immediately and couldn't come back til the next day.

Almost bought but skipped

Was a huge fan of the game F.E.A.R. so I'll have to check this out.

There are even some pretty big overhaul mods.

shut all the lights off in ur house, bodyslam ur roommate unconscious so he cant make a sound and tell me this game doesnt scare the piss out of you.

better yet, play in a basement or a boiler room. tell me you don't feel like shutting it off. and yes the ending was woke/10
