Kunark Questions? When??
 

Anyone have any idea on when they are thinking of sprouting Kunark? I don't wanna make a human monk I'd really rather do Iksar......BUT I want to play a monk so if Kunark is like a year away I'll roll Human.

our monk in our guild rerolled iksar monk when kunark was released on tzvz (2.0) last year...but there you have been able (and still are) to lvl up to 50 within 2 days :D

Dude, you should play a ranger. It would totally suit you.

If you're gonna be a monk, iksar is the way to go. There's just no reason to go human unless, as you specified, kunark is so far away that it won't be available for a long time.

Still, i'd think rolling another class in the meantime until kunark comes out would be a better idea :p

Correct me if i'm wrong, but outside of the ac bonus, the regen, the infravision, the cool FD animation, but don't iksars have worse hand to hand ratio's on their fists? :p i remember in the classic forums where people spent ages working out the ratio etc.

so... pros v cons, i'd say iksar hands down. Give your ikky a fungi and a ton po's and you'll be sorted.

Ya I can remember back on Live making my iksar monk and dying 100 times trying to get to the mainland cuz I was sick of Kunark lol.

Loved it.

I might just level hardcore on my cleric until the kunark comes out....that way I can hve the money and stuff needed to equip him properly

At level 60:

Fists Damage/Delay (Human): 14/26
Fists Damage/Delay (Iksar): 14/27

In other words, negligible

Also, just for comparison here is the regen rates at 60:

Regen Rate (Human): 7 sitting, 5 FD, 4 standing
Regen Rate (Iksar): 18 sitting, 14 FD, 12 standing

EverQuest Monk Abilities by Level

start a class that can solo well, farm (read caster).

Level to 50, farm tons of monk stuff and cash.

When kunark releases, create an iksar, twink like hell.
