Welcome to the server! Let me know if you'd like to group at all. I'm a 16 paladin :)

Welcome! Out of all the caster classes, enchanter is the hardest to master, but it has the highest potential as well. Don't get frustrated, the enchanter learning curve is even steeper than for most other classes. Here are some advices:

From Level 12 on you can charm. A charmed pet does a lot more damage than your summoned one, but can be very tricky to manage. I would advice pets a few levels below you for safety reasons.

In group situations you almost NEVER nuke. Enchanter nukes generate an incredible amount of aggro (cause they all have a mini stun in them). Generally you need to be very aggro aware. You will get a spell to clear all aggro from a mob (mind wipe) that can help.

There are some guides here, i am sure you can find them.

Here's the wiki page for Enchanter, it has a list of all your spells: http://wiki.project1999.com/Enchanter

I highly recommend reading this guide, as the above poster said, Enchanters are one of the hardest classes to master. http://wiki.project1999.com/Xornns_Enchanter_Guide

Extra credit: an in-depth guide to the spells you get at each spell-level, how useful they are, and in what situations they come in handy: http://wiki.project1999.com/Xornn%27...er_Spell_Guide

If you do go Enchanter you can charm solo starting at level 12, as noted above. An Enchanter's charm is modified by their CHA (charisma), the more you have, the longer it lasts.

I recently started an enchanter and got to the 200 CHA soft cap as a High Elf (15pts into INT, 15 into CHA at creation) with under 4k of twink gear.

To get money early (Dark Elf level 8, Good races level 12) you can do the Stein of Moggok quest over and over to sell in EC. Note, in Qeynos, I'd make an alt every time you kill the fish in the pond (I have used SKs for harm touch) instead of tanking your Enchanter's faction. Camp your Enchanter there by the pool, log on the SK alt, harm touch and whack a few fish, loot on Enchanter. Delete alt, start a new one without trashed faction.

^ this is good advice, especially if you are new to the game it will give you a chance to see the world.

I ran through this quest a few times to help myself gear up back in 2010.

A nice little hidden spot once you get higher (low 30's?) are the guards in misty thicket at the wall, made about 300 to 500pp an hour there as you can sell the spear and shield they drop to a vendor in zone. Sure it will ruin your halfling faction but what other reason do you have to go to anywhere near halfling land except for slaughter?

Send me a message if you make it to the east commonlands. I'm playing an ogre warrior named "Grokkar" level 7 today.
