Midi town songs not playing
 

I am running everquest in lubuntu

All other sounds work fine but midis wont play

I found a post a long time ago about it but i searched for an hour i cant find it, anyone have any info on this. I'd love to get my music working.

This is a common problem with getting midi's to play/output properly in wine. It is fixable but I haven't looked into it just yet, though I have been thinking about it recently.

got it working by doing what paulgiamatti said installing the the fluidr3 soundfont and then i installed qsynth and changed the midi driver from jack to alsa_seq..

so stoked to have rivervale and qeynos music back!
