Rogue: Which Race, deity?
 

Getting burned on the heal bot gig, I was thinking of trying out a rogue. Is there any benefit of choosing any race over the other? Besides the obvious things like exp bonus and faction standings? Are there any cool items to be had specific to one race or a follower of a specific deity?
If not, ill just roll with the hair footed midget for the enhanced exp.

Barbarian rogues get bash.

No bonuses to items that I can think of with dieties, and they often aid in getting you into trouble with factions. Unless you want to RP a diety, agnostic is the way to go. Rallos Zek *might* help you with giant faction in Velious, but I doubt it.

Oh yea i remember reading something about having good faction in kael with the rallos zek. Said you can pass through there for a good shortcutwhen traveking around. But can any rogue race be affiliated with zek? I thought that was only warrior and shaman.
Im leaning toward darkelf atm but i didnt consider the slam attack of the barbarian.

Halfling have best exp mod (+13.5%), best base stats and being of 'good' faction helps a lot giving you access to more zones/cities.

Don't forget that while barbarians do have bash, using bash triggers the cooldown on BS. So you need to choose between interrupting casters and backstabbing, and you definitely cannot bash to stun and then spin around behind the mob for a BS.

Enchanter rogues are pretty sweet.
