Default Spell files out of date..

So I'm just coming back to the EQemulater servers, last year I was on legacy of zek, and now I want to start off and play on Red 1999, when I log into the server it tells me spell files are out of date, what exactly do I need to do to log in and start playing?? Also, do I need to change anything with my everquest file that I changed specifically for legacy of zek, Please help, I need to start leveling!!!

Default Same Issue

I have the same issue. When I log in it mentions spell files are out of date, and to check the getting started post. However I don't see any clear solution. Did you get it resolved?

Click the link in my sig and scroll down to number 7. Download the new spell files and extract them into your eq folder. if you dont want to use the emu launcher, just follow the instructions at the beginning of the FAQ to make a shortcut to EQ that won't patch you to live (if you dont add patchme to the end of your shortcut target, it will launch the patcher and you'll have to reinstall).

Also, in the future, please check the FAQ before posting in tech discussion. 80% of questions posted here are answered in the FAQ.
