Okok here's my problem. So my eq titanium got broken by my 5 year old somehow and I had logged on to play and have this error! So when I get to the character selection screen it says my spells are out of date and to update the files to log in. How does one do this without having to reinstall the game? Because if I have to reinstall I'm doomed and I love this server I love it! Help please guys [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

If you were able to play p99 before this. Your 5 year old likely patched eq. According to the setup walkthrough you would need to reinstall.

you need to download the server specific spells.txt and other files, you can find them here on the website. Just put them in the folders and replace the old files.

The latest patch files will always be under news and announcements but here is the direct link

Is your Eq folder in your Program files folder? If so move it out and then try those files again.

That "update spell file" error is always wrong for me. Every. Single. Time. Just saying. I always ignore it.
