Coldain 8th ring event - Garadain ate the chief's head!

So I triggered the 8th ring event in east wastes and single pulled out Chief Ry`Gorr and looted his head. I ran back out to Garadain when was still rounding up the all the troops and gave him the head and got nothing back. I recall being able to do this on live before the Coldain actually rushed the RyGorr fort.

Has anyone else had issues with this?
