I disagree.
you can't disagree, it's the definition of the word

hetero/homosexuality is defined by erotic activity between members of the opposite/same sex

gender is a separate, socially constructed, and potentially fluid issue

Being able to copy/paste the definition of a word and being able to understand the meaning(s) of the word particularly in a myriad of contexts are two diversely different things.

three links to gender-specific articles

gender is irrelevant in this discussion, as per the very definitions of the terms in question

That's a particularly low brow comment.

So if someone has straight sex their whole life and then has gay sex once, what does that make them?

Archaic definitions which have not kept up with the science. The fact that you say it is irrelevant over and over doesn't make it so.

Please reiterate what it is that you are trying to assert, then extrapolate upon why both the spectrum of gender identity and the spectrum of sexuality are irrelevant.

So what if a gay person never has gay sex but hides it and only has heterosexual sex?

if the terms are archaic, then you should have no qualms about their usage

whether or not the definition of homosexual is archaic does not grant you the right to redefine it as you see fit. the term is wholly independent of gender. what i say and what you say doesn't make it so -- what the dictionary says makes it so
