Default Crash on camp

Hello. I crash every time I camp to switch characters. It is very annoying and has persisted through many different patches. I switch characters very often and this makes it very frustrating. Anyone else have this problem and if so, is there a fix?

I had this same issue for about 10 months.

The only change I made that seemingly fixed it was to run EQ as an administrator AND run it in compatability mode, XP service pack2 I think is the option I chose for compatibility mode.

Are you using Teamspeak3+Overwolf? It crashes every time with that app. And probably a number of other apps.

I have the same problem OP. Haven't found a fix to it yet. Maybe 10% of the time I actually get a successful log out.

Not a huge problem, but I agree it's pretty annoying.

I have the same issue, and about the same, maybeee 10% success rate camping. Still no idea what does it, ive just chalked it up to EQ being so damn old and now do a combo of starting to camp and /exing. A fix would be sweet though !

same here, just super freaking annoying.

Also recently when I zone I crash, I used to never crash and I would zone within 10 seconds it seemed.

Im.going to try admin mode when i get home. See what happens. Crashing on camp was something i never really gave a hoot about, except when you are trying to xfer. The crash while zoning is becoming a bit of a pain.
Im pretty sure if i run it as admin all my life problems will float away

This fixed the problem. Right click on your shortcut, run as admin checked, compatibility mode checked. It works for me.
