Spells: Necro spell: Mend bones

The necro spell mend bones is supposed to heal my pet.

If I target my pet, it works fine as a heal.
If I target a non undead mob it says "This spell will only work on the undead". This made me thinking if the spell was constructed so it works on all undead creatures in the game, not just my pet.

If I target another players pet it says "(Pet name) begins to mend"

I didn't see if it actually did some healing or just gave the mend message. I haven't tried it on any undead mobs either.
