Who remembers this?
When consent gave players the ability to loot your corpse for you?

Yep, not having that on P99 was very unclassic!

I remember people crying because they consented scoundrels to deliver their items to them
It was honestly a pretty bad mechanic

It was a terrible mechanic, but like so many classic mechanics I'm sure we'd find clever ways to use/abuse it. I'm sure we'd end up transferring nodrop items...

This is actually how I heard about Everquest...
Used to play an online game called Utopia (http://utopia-game.com) that was akin to a text-only Master of Magic but Kingdom based--12 or 24 people made up a Kingdom, I can't remember. Anyways, someone posted a delicious F&R quality link about some monk robbing corpses after a botched Naggy raid. Sounded incredibly painful and fun, and so the rest is history. ...I wonder if people still actually play that damn game.

I know at one point you could transfer NODROP stuff, but it involved deleting the character and remaking one with the same name. Doesn't work here, so I'm guessing it was back when /consent allowed looting.

I know that is you would put items in a loom you could have someone else run up and grab it (if they got there fast enough) but that was WAY long ago.

I remember because I was a little 12 year old shitball that got some poor shaman in banded to /consent me and then stripped his corpse [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
