However, I think it is likely this is coincidental, and the tester had not capped the character's offence/weapon skills for the first test, but had for the second, thus giving the illusion +attack improved accuracy). Does hand to hand have higher skill cap to weapons for monk? this could be the reason for the improvement in accuracy in the situation you describe? If I am wrong and +attack does improve accuracy that would be great though. More evidence required

Possible fail, for some reason I coupled epic offhand with you being a monk?
But as Sam also alludes to, it might be due to a difference in skill level based on weapon type.

Very good info in this thread. My next question regards strength. Does it have a diminishing return after 200? Like say wis and int do. Or do I get as high as I have to so my self buff caps it at 255. Then start piling on the dex.

Yeah, but some stats are worth taking to 255, particularly STR for melee DPS classes (like Ranger) since it is one source of their attack power. They should aim to be 255 STR with buffs.

Wiki say that Dex adds to archery ATK on a hidden value.
http://wiki.project1999.com/Archery But I guess it could be as wrong as any of us. Someone really needs to make a bro science/mythbusters EQ series
