Buffed/unbuffed resistances

Hi all,

I was hoping to get a little help from someone who might understand this better than me.

What would be considered a decent resist value for both unbuffed and buffed. Some background: I am a 42 druid, with access to all of the resist spells. I would like to be able to kill blue con casters without having them stick every spell on me. Is there a magic number I should be shooting for, or am I doomed to simply attempt to outnuke them?
