If you create a separate install from classic/kunark/velious discs the tutorial will probably work (tutorial.exe).

At some point the game files changed so much that tutorial.exe was no longer compatible. I don't know exactly when this, maybe even install discs as late as SoL or beyond may work if you are lucky.

Thanks for the tip, sounds like a good way to do it.

If you're interested in watching other people play, which can serve as a tutorial - particularly as he remakes characters frequently, you might find SuperBitsAndBob's videos on YouTube enjoyable.

Thanks Beckoning, but I'm not interested in the Tutorial to learn how to play. I'm interested in the original EQ for nostalgia reasons and the original had a Tutorial. I played the Tutorial back in 1999, because back then I DID need a tutorial. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I don't mind watching youtubes but usually only when I'm stuck or watching because I can't play it, i.e. a console game. I watched 'The Last of Us' on youtube, since I only play PC games. Someone had put together essentially a 6 hour movie of the game.
