Default Your spells file is outdated...

I got this message while trying to log in. My characters are gone and I can't play. It says I need to download something from the getting started section, but I can't figure it out. Can someone help me?

Thats because they released a new patch on the server.

get this - http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...ad.php?t=28335
and run option (12), this will install EQemu launcher, which will always keep your files up to date.

If you don't want to deal with the EQEmuLauncher, here's how you update your files manually:

There'll be a link to the latest eqchanges zip on the front page. It's up to V14 now and the link leads directly to the download. Extract that zip directly into your Everquest directory and agree to all the file overrides. That's all.

If you get an error when you try to run the game afterwards, that's because the latest patch has screwed something up for many of us. Look here or here for possible fixes. Unfortunately, some of us haven't had any luck with those fixes yet, so hopefully someone comes up with something soon.

I fucked it all up. Now I can't get the Emu working. I guess I have to reinstall.

No, the latest patch is messed up and a lot of us are having that problem. The dsetup.dll doesn't work for some people, not even the new one Rogean posted that seemed to fix it for most. Since it might do the trick for you, try download this and replace the existing dsetup.dll with it (in the Everquest directory). If that doesn't do it, you're just one of the unfortunate ones. Join the club. Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

I just want to waste time playing EQ [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

This is so far beyond me lol. I'm going to try and fix it, maybe do a clean uninstall and get it set up once more.

Getting a message that says "Please delete wsock32.dll and eqgame.dll from your Everquest Titanium directory."

Search for those files, delete them, and it should work for you.
