Default Disarm

I know this has been brought up/talked about before, but I see no specific bug report just for the disarm ability in the bug forum so here it is.

You get no skill-ups, no message, no nothing. Doesn't matter if you have attack on or off. The only way I have been able to get a message is if I have no target. Other than that you can't even tell you clicked the button. Any word on this? Or anyone have any information?

I am a rogue BTW, and assume it doesn't work for anyone else?

Just got disarm the other night (as a monk), and I can confirm for you that it doesn't work for us either.

Targeting a corpse or myself gets the expected messages, but a mob (who is or isn't armed) with attack on or off, gets no messages, skillups, etc.

Disarm currently does not work. We aren't even sure if we can make it work. It needs further research, but atm, it doesn't work.

Emulator wide issue. It's not just something we haven't fixed =(.

There is something somewhere, in spawn code structures, or in zone headers, or somewhere, that is tied to the client being able to send the disarm opcodes. You press disarm button all you want, and nothing is ever sent to the server from the clients. This is one of those weird ones to figure out. It could be some obscure opcode that was thought to be unimportant, but actually did something. I don't know.

I am sure I will get back to looking at it again sometime. Hopefully can get it fixed someday.

Just curious, is this an issue with EQEmu itself? As in, none of the free servers have this working then?

In the meantime could this be worked around by implementing /disarm and performing a class/level check?
