This sounds awesome! Any particular classes in need? I know play what you want blah blah, but I seriously love most classes and will play about anything. Kind of feeling a cleric or bard, atm, but that could change. A monk would be sweet too, but when I last played the server was so full of monks it was ridiculous.

thoughts?

DPS is very welcome, theres a ton of clerics and bards, me and aretraes (dru/brd) duo alot and we could use a dpser.

Very cool, thanks, I will give it some thought....it will be at least a day or two before I can get started.

Reason I ask about monks is it was literally MonkFest when I last played. I HATE playing overpopulated classes. HATE. So it would be cool to know what the deal is before getting all geared up for that. I was a pro rogue live, so that's a possibility too.

Have we met before? I played a druid named Magilla and a shaman named (i think) Maltus before as mains. Your name seems very familiar.

Seriously, I haven't been around in a year and pops are lower than they were. What's needed?

Good grouping is more important to me than playing a particular class.

I don't think we care about classes, so 'whats needed' is probably the same as it is for any situation on the server.

I appreciate the sentiment, but classes matter in EQ. Most especially classic EQ.

Sentiment over practicality in this game generally equalls a bunch of people not able to group or raid a few months later. Been there done that more times than I can count since I rolled my first toon in April 99 the week bertoxx went live, to the last expansion (ive played live since I've played here). Then or now, class diversity matters in EQ.

I love most classes. What is lacking?

tanks at mid level tanks are needed on this server , but thats a tough road , so I havent seen a lot of wizards ,or enchanters , mages dont see a lot of those either .

But if you got cash to twink , get an fbss and go warrior you wont have issues finding groups after lvl 10 or so . The tank population seems to drop the higher lv I get ...

I don't know why you think I was being sentimental, I was being practical. Saying we don't care about classes at the moment is not the same as saying classes don't matter in EQ. I would say play a warrior if you think you can stand it, they are always in need.

thats what Im seeing and hearing as I lvl up , Knight classes get burned out from the xp penalty and warriors dwindling for whatever reason . But tanking can get a bit dull , 3 button spam and all... IDK , thats what I'm seeing .. I dont see a ton of enchanters either . But I am cleric and need to group ( and generally play a healer or tank in mmo's ) , so I look for tanks and ccers .. its habitual ....You got a tank a healer and a ccer and well the rest just falls inine one way or another .
