I almost couldn't find the energy to click but here's the text if you just want to read what there was of this short article.

A nasty bug on EverQuest’s progression servers has kept players from completing an expansion boss for over a year now, with bug reports and complaints to Daybreak resulting in no action taken whatsoever. Whenever players engage the Rathe Council, a fight made up of 12 enemies, the mobs frequently despawn and respawn before the fight can be completed.

Even worse, according to a tipster’s report, is that guilds and individuals can intentionally trigger the despawning to keep others from finishing the fight. This has kept guilds and players from progressing through the Planes of Power expansion if the fight is encountered in its open world version.

One frustrated player summed up the experience thusly: “It really sucks to call a raid, COTH or clear all the way to Rathe, spend hours setting up , getting to the big moment having all 12 mobs perfectly under control, make the call to start killing, then the event bugs out on you. Then you call for a reset, it’s alright, lets do it again! Then it bugs out on you. Then you try again, and it bugs out on you. Then you say it’s alright we will get it tomorrow! Then you come back, do it all again. Then the event bugs out on you, for days, and days, and days…we are thinking of giving P99's pvp server a go instead”
