Server had 173 the other night - had 170ish in November. Pretty consistent, people who can't cut it come to the boards and cry about the dying server. It's fine.

Opening more content, and maybe a patch every now and then to fix game breaking issues would help boost it even more.

Exp is to slow.
People have jobs and familys. Pvp is funnest at 50 when fighting over big things, but considering the required investment of time, not many can endure to max level. Atleast thats why I'm not so"immersed" or excited about it anymore.

1) They JUST got max level on their blue when red released when they don't have as much time as we used to as early teenagers when classic was a time killer, and now they had to start ALL the way over at level 1 with no exp boost and spend 100's of hours just to have fun pvp mode. Devs don't get it -- THEY ALREADY HAD THE CLASSIC EXPERIENCE of the grind on blue!!!! If they wanted to grind, they would stay on blue. 2) No devs had the guts to call it a p99-style pvp server instead of an exact by-the-book classic server. Everyone knows on red, things had to change for the greater good, but we lost our ENTIRE population because no one listens to the community. 3) Exp death ruleset for pvp? What??! 4) Guards broken 5) Game changing exploits that were not fixed (ice comet, mage pet sword, etc) 6) Simple bugs that took too long to change a 0 to 1 to. There were claims that there was not enough time, but things that did not require immediate attention WERE changed often without the community bug reports being fulfilled. For example, instead of bard bugs being fixed (a lot of bards on this server), you ninja patch a desert madman in eruds crossing to be scowl instead of dubious. Wtf.. 7) Devs do not respond to the community well -- in fact, most responses are trolls. Love you guys, but it's true. In-game support was legit tho, no worries (Amelinda) 8) Bad timing on release (can't be helped really; there's always going to be something new coming out @ same time). Devs could have cross-advertised, though ... put on blue MOTD advertising red. Even promos "Join now and get DOUBLE exp until level 10!" never implemented anything like this because "it wasnt classic" im sure ........ -___- 9) Remember VANGUARD? The potentially most amazing game in history that I'd still be playing? It had a bomb release and population dropped by 80%. Way later, they fixed everything, but everyone was already gone. Good example to compare to. 10) Xp death too high. Most exp deaths are pvp related and when you get killed by a mob on classic without exp boost constantly from someone harassing you, it's demoralizing and many people quit because of this. In fact, i'd give 50% of the population quitting because of multiple pvp-related exp deaths (mob gets last hit) and too demoralized to get exp back. 11) Resists ... broken.
