You got a bad regurgitonic. It's a 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 chance. Only way to tell is by casting identify on it before making the trip from Ak'Anon to WK. Intended effect.

Lol so many casters dont have the spell. It's usefulness while small is very helpful in those circumstances that it is needed.

No. Quest scripts don't depend on inventory. They end with a summonitem(#####); line, which in practical terms, causes the character to generate the item onto their cursor with permission of the server.

Verant intended for the spell to be required to see the stats on an item. It led to all sorts of problems and got scrapped.
