new cleric

Hey, I'm planning on starting up from scratch as a newbie cleric. I was curious if there are any low-level groups of people who normally play with each other that needs a cleric? Or any leveling guilds.

what race? im thinking about starting a tank or wizard wouldnt mind running with ya to level up.

I was thinking high elf for gfay starting point. But I'm open to other options, I can't recall base spec points for the races.
