Very few of "us" did, actually.

The server is, frankly, better off without you. If you actually think "everyone run to X, mob spawned" is a challenge, you may not quite be ready to graduate to Play-Doh.

EQ has great content, but the people pretending that "competition" is sitting in a safe room afk and watching movies until their phone rings are all either crazy or stupid. They aren't completely insane like the people raging out over GM arbitration of their own self-imposed drama, but they're close.
No pretending here, that's how it works in this game, chief. If two guilds both want a kill, then they've got to be faster than the other guy. I mean that's just all there is to it. If only there was a word that describes the relationship between those two guilds. . . Oh right, it's competition.

Solution is this:

Any asshattery, tom foolery, smacking, cracking, training, stealing, ninjaring, campstealin, cockblocking, fannyblocking (<= had to add that for equality reasons), taunting (other than by tanks) etc etc etc is allowed, cause this is a classic server and that's all quite honest, classic as.

Just like "poopsocking & batphone" does not equal competition.

Again - no wonder the industry went to instancing.
Yeah, it was either instancing, or charge such a high price that all the unemployed people couldn't play and poopsock 24/7. Sometimes I think the latter might have been a better plan.

We had a rotation on Rathe/Zebuxoruk during the classic days and up to Velious I think. It worked pretty well. Guilds, for the most part, got along, and it was fun to play and cooperate with others that had a different guild tag than you [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.].
