Necros and Shammys are MUCH better soloing overall, IMO.

One thing though - Enhanters have the rare ability to solo the unthinkable *IF* they are incredibly lucky. The first character to solo Wuoshi (and this was WAY before anybody else could have done it) was a Chanter.

Yes, this person probably died a hundred times before their luck held, but still.

Epics will not be in the game until a couple months before Velious.

So we're talking almost a full year before epic quests are introduced.

^^ very good point, i was soloing nameds that full groups used to struggle with on live [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Enchanters may struggle for the conventional ease of soloing, but a chanter who's willing to risk it all can do pretty cool things [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

alot of good info here, i guess the decision is somewhat split. alot of people saying necro is the way to go purely for solo and some saying enc can solo, but have a greater chance (and risk) of pulling off killing the big mobs.

i have a feeling though when alot of people say necro are good soloers in kunark they are probably moreso considering outdoor's.

In general...

Necro is better for the day in, day out soloing. You will solo through stuff faster and with less down time, and in most situations, with a lot less risk.

Necros will also be better able to take down tough (like, yellow) mobs *consistently*.

The only places Enchanters really have any soloing advantages over Necros are...
1 - The rare, crazy, "you-must-be-insane", stuff. And even then, it's a roll of the dice. As in, where other classes have a 0% chance, Enchanters would have a 1-2% chance.
2 - The ability to control the situation better in tight quarters (dungeons), where adds can ruin your whole day. So where a Necro might gate, an Enc might keep going.

i will report you to your officers for posting during raids

besides that, mage dies in highend dungeons solo if he pulls more than one mob, or gates.. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

necro, hands down...everything else is a no go for highend dungeons farming, solo that is.
