If there is consistency in sim repops, no more variance threads
I will never make another Variance thread.
While I believe wholeheartedly that the best answer to more PVP is variance, I also believe that CONSISTENT simulated repops make this server a lot more enjoyable. (we had 3 guilds fighting last time, until sim repops disappeared, server was never more alive. ) Also, they will promote population growth and eventually lead to PVP over static timers. Why? A) one zerg force is no longer the only way to advance your character. Yes, the other routes might be slower but at least the road towards eventually reaching your goals actually exists. This will lead to less people caving to pressure for gear and working on other projects, and the #1 guild not being such massive force, since it is no longer "the only way". B) people who play only to grief will not have the same level of incentive. We all know someone whose main motive for playing is denying others joy. As it presently stands, being a part of a massive zerg provides you with that option. As soon as a few items start getting past them, the grief is no longer in full effect and thus no longer as enjoyable. c) The main reason that Vairance is cool ... Unpredictability and excitement. While static spawns are not due, there is the constant anticipation and all the talks going around about when the next world shake will be so the races may begin. predictable is boring ! d) It keeps you busy ... You get to make preparations for the next ground shake. Moving toons, thinking of how to best control said area, getting key items to make your plan go through. Without simulated repops, you know there is a zerg force of 50+ which will go from target to target as they die in a nicely spaced out order. Not many options or opportunities for cool plans. Build more characters.. ect You know you are working towards something, not to fight an uphill battle on a server that only accommodates to one type of guild force, which you have no interest of becoming. | ||
