Are you seasoned encs saying that FT1 on an enc is wasted? Legit question, my enc is only 25ish.

Mana really is rarely a problem for enchanters. If you're being forced to used boltrans to charm and have nothing to tap(theft/WM) is about worst case scenario for enchanters. One of the big mana spenders before epic is hasting your pet. Augmentation and augment are strong and long duration and make a great combo with a muzzle and a torch.

I wouldn't waste my time making a shawl for a chanter.

Would you still prefer Neriad over FT1 if they took the same amount of time/effort to obtain?

I plan on doing a lot of tradeskilling on the enc regardless, so the time/money expenses for the FT shawl due to raising skills are not a concern.

Should I just buy a Hierophant's Cloak or try to get into the camp? What's the camp name btw?

Also, as far as our epic, how difficult is it? Are there parts where I can start solo, or is it mostly semi-raid to raid kills?

crypt/emp in sebilis. you'll need a rogue to get in. make sure it's not camped before you start going down.

you can do parts of it solo, parts of it grouped, and parts of it in raids.

solo
spoon (ec auctions)
snowblossoms (oggok side quest)
charm goldenwing (skyfire have to camp him)
charm librarian (kaesora have to camp him)
charm tzilug (ot always up)
all of the test of enlightenment (you'll have to get a port to sky and might have to camp the book)

group
verina tomb (neriak long and inconsistent timer)
vessel drozlin (cabilis long and inconsistent timer)
kindle (hole always up?)
charm jaxion (com have to camp him)
tangrin (fob has a timer)

raid
prince (chardok always up)
wraith of shissar (fear has a timer)
forsaken revenants (could be several hate raids)

more info here

Default Enchanter epic

Reguarding the enchanter epic: the hardest parts is Verina Tomb, and iskar in Cab. They are both perma camped and have a huge variance (2-7days if I remember correctly). The shissar in fear is one of the next hardest parts because you need a raid force and I believe he only pops once every 3 days on a fixed timer. Overall compared to other epics it's easy just very time consuming
