Default referenced memory problem HELP!?

the instruction at 0fc348f0ce referenced memory at 0xfffffffffc. The memory could not be read.
click ok to terminate

this happens when i try to load the patcher - screen blinks 3 times.. then i get the error stated above.

Been trying all day to get this to load by messing around with it.. ive done all the troubleshooting tips ive seen on the forums. Deleted the correct zones. Tried to change the eqclient.ini but it doesnt have any information in there about windowed mode etc because i havent been able to login to make a eqclient yet.
ive tried to change the properties to xp(2) and (3).
ive tried to plug in a mouse
i dont have it under program files

please any help would be greatly appreciated.. i dont want to give up on P99 yet.

try this.

Right click your EQgame file
go to Properties > Compatibility tab > Run this PROGRAM in compatibility mode for WINDOWS XP

This seems to have fixed the issue. I have been able to log in and log out multiple times so far. We'll see what tomorrow brings however.
This fix didn't come without its own issues. I tried the XP setting, but I got random timeout issues, the Vista setting seems to be working best for me atm.
