The first patch lowered how hard the mobs hit though, which made it a lot more accessible.

The second patch (in June 2011) revamped the Icy Servants and changed up the loot tables some too.

Rangers have their Double Attack skill cap raised to 245. They have also gained an innate offensive bonus that starts at level 55 and increases until level 60. Ranger's Defense skill cap has been raised to 220, and their Riposte skill cap has been raised to 185.
Paladins and Shadowknights, besides the benefits they gain from the two-handed weapons change mentioned above, have also been moved to the same combat tables as warriors. In the future we intend to examine the existing one-handed weapons useable by knights for possible upgrades. We are also increasing the Taunt skill cap for these two classes to 220.
Bards have had their 1h blunt and 1h slash skill caps increased to 250. Their piercing skill cap has been increased to 240. Their Offense skill cap has been raised to 252. Bards are also being moved to the same combat table with all the other melee and hybrid classes (save monks who have separate tables after level 55). Bards Parry skill cap has been raised to 185 as well. Finally, the Singing Shortsword can now be equipped in the off hand and still give full song enhancing benefits.

Code:
- Spirit of the Oak will no longer be overwritten by any beneficial 
spells.

- Egress will now work indoors.

- Wind of the North, Wind of the South, Markar's Relocation and 
Tishan's Relocation have had their additional restrictions removed, and 
can now be cast from any zone where other similar spells can be cast.

- Druid Skyshrine Quest armor has had a color change so that it will 
look more unique.
honestly, I am looking forward to the Spirit of Oak change - especially if they change it to the buffed version that gives 9 mana per tick instead of the current 4 - not sure when that took place... Daldaen?

It takes you 15 minutes to cross DL but only 5 to run from evac spot to Seb? k

So it looks like we got the Circlet of Shadows change, but none of the others. Was this intended? I feel like it's atleast June in the timeline so we should have seen all of these changes in the most recent patch.

There were a few changes that went in which were missing from the patch notes.
Added the following:
  • Circlet of Shadows stops dropping. Replaced by 5s cast time.
  • More Translocation spells added
  • Enchanter Epic haste duration increase from 20 -> 30 min
  • Hoshkar resumes dropping Green Scales for warrior epic.
Ideally, all of the changes would go in when they should. Some require both code changes as well as db and scripting. If all of that is not available by patch time, we go with what we have completed. Also some of this was forgotten about because it was done so long ago (hoshkar scales etc).

The spell changes, do they just require an updated spell file?

Kunark ports from any zone
Egress castable indoors
CoTH is target other only
Summon Companion added to other classes beyond Mage

Those were also part of the June 2001 patch and I don't think they went in.

Speed of the Shissar is not only not 30 minutes, it's not 20 minutes, either. It was tested at 19 minutes several times.
