Good Pet for the City of Mist stable/temple area
last night I was grouped at the stables, myself a shaman at the time. An enchanter brought, 'a phantom' from the moat/arena area over as a pet. With malo it lasted pretty reliably even though it was about her level.
The pet rekt shop. So! long story short, if you are looking to XP in City of Mist stables/temple area, even if you're in your low 40's, grab a phantom from the arena moat area and get dat xp. Its not on this page, which is a good source for where to level if you are looking for OP pets, http://wiki.project1999.com/Loraen's_Enchanter_Guide (I would link to the scroll position of the guide where it recomends pets, but I dont know how to do that) But I wish I could add it, but I also dont know how to add to this since its loramins guide not mine heh. Anyhow, it is a good pet. Worth seeking out and using for XP!

I never was a fan of ghosts for charms. Their lifetaps might help heal them and do some extra damage, but they also break roots.

I don't think the Iksar lifetaps, just the Sarnak.

Hmmmm. I was certain I had a pet that didn't lifetap.
Maybe it was a certain tier?

Could very well have been, I know that both types of "a phantom" lifetap, thats the tier i spent most of my time with in there, I can't recall which types of wraiths I was charming last time I was there. Sounds like some testing is in order.

My suggestion for xp wreckage is in group situations so the root break is a non issue.
It's like a backstabbing pet, another group pet that wouldn't work in solo vs group.

I reckon I solo differently than you guys, I would use the lifetapping pet even in solo situations. Sure he breaks root, but why is that a big deal? Haste him up, let him wreck the enemy, dazzle, find another enemy, let him wreck it, dazzle, repeat until your pet is low, then release and kill em all. I have long preferred this method over finding 2 enemies of equal difficulty and killing them both at the end. That's just me though.
