I was at lunch in middle school. My friend told me that the US was invading Iraq. I didn't know what was going on, so I thought that was cool. A couple of hours later my mom took me out of school, and I watched the news for the rest of the day.

I was living in a beach house with no TV and no internet, but we had scheduled for a tech to install internet at our place that day. The installer asked if we had "heard the news" - and of course we had no clue and once the internet was up we started watching videos on news sites + calling relatives to ask what they were currently hearing on live TV.

Was right before I was walking to school sophomore year. My buddy told me we had been "attacked", at first I didn't believe him so I turned on the TV and boom. Spent the whole school day watching TV and listening to the radio.

Just woke up, it was 6 in the morning in AK at the time, heard my mom and dad saying "oh my god" in the living room, walked out and saw and the first thing my dad said was "You're not going to school"

I had first hour in an economics class. We were just doing our thing when all of a sudden some teacher ran in and told us to turn on the news. This was my sr. yr. in HS. We watched for most of the entire class. Saw the 2nd plane hit. It was really weird to watch. People were saying maybe it's just a movie. But obviously it wasn't, it was just too much to take in. The news got reports of the one that hit the Pentagon too and the one still flying. What a fucked up day that was. It's sort of surreal to think about now and how we just sat in that class watching the TV in amazement and horror. A few of my classmates instantly started enrolling themselves into various departments of the armed forces.

I was in AP english class and one of my friends walked in and told the teacher to turn on the TV because the World Trade Center is on fire.

I was getting ready for school in 6th grade. My mom was livid about sending me to school but my dad gave some patriotic speech about not staying at home like cowards so I joined the rest of the kids waiting for the dazed teachers to send us home.

At home : hungover
me and the ex worked swing in las vegas casinos (went out the night before like we usually did after work)
*phone ringing non-stop in the morning* so i finally crawl out of bed to see wtf the emergency was and get the news

Turn on the TV to see events and watch the 2nd plane crash, all in awe and all amazed,
Plus a little worried that if the east coast has been hit, maybe something iconic on the other side of the country could be targeted next (cali-LV)
______
*fast forward to new years eve*
So i got in a street fight on the strip LOL
(im not a bad person! this dude and his friend were just drunk and would NOT quit!)
anyway.. me and my friend start runnin thru the back areas to mandalay bay, since street cops were coming and didnt wanna get hauled away heh

And run straight into the national guard (i think it was the guard) hiding back in the dark [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
buncha vehicles and people standing around in the dark, in an area nobody would pay any attention to.
was kinda cool! just thought id throw that in sorry for shaere
