Yea this kinda sucks. I really hate pay to win games. I can understand buying cosmetic stuff like marvel heroes does, but boosts and shit just give people an advantage. I'd rather have it be a good game and be sub based....

The boosts are pretty minimal, TBH. You can get mounts and gear for your mounts (that increase their move speed, HP, and defense) that you'd be able to get otherwise in the game without needing the credits. And the boosts are pretty dumb, too. (Like, you don't lose exp for an hour when you die. Stuff like that). The majority of the store stuff is cosmetic.
