WinEQ2 help
Hey guys & gals. I just got WinEQ2 to see if it will help reduce my crashes when I zone.
I'm having either an issue, a brainfart, or a mixture on the matter though. When I go to select Options -> Preferences-> EQ path, it won't let me put "C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe" patchme, which is my EQemu path, so that way it doesn't try to patch to EQLive, but it won't launch, it says "C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe\eqgame.exe does not exist. Please correct the path" but it I put the Path as C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe, it will try to patch to live yes? Thus causing epic fails on my part? Anyone know how to get around this *sadpanda*

Create a shortcut with patchme in the properties tab, and then point wineq at the shortcut.
Dunno if that will work, but it's worth a try. | ||

Sounds like you got it to work.
One thing I'd like to add...and it's been awhile since I ran wineq so it may have changed....but I'm pretty sure WinEq automatically skips the patcher. You can point it right at eqgame.exe and it should only launch that executable. I remember wineq would always break on live patch days, and I'd have to run the normal Everquest.exe without wineq so the patcher would update the game.

Under each wineq profile you create, there are options. Make sure the patch option is set to no/off (which I believe it is by default).
