Default MUDs

What was your favorite high fantasy MUD? I looked into DartMUD, but I don't think I am ready for a permadeath game just yet.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Why is this is Server Chat and not off-topic? MUDs are cool and all, but P99 is not a MUD and never will be.

I played Archmage for a while years ago, and then again a few months ago but lost interest.

Pre-MMOs, the MUD I spent the most time in was a little game called Aaezure Odyssey.

Post-MMOs, when I feel like jumping into some text based fun, I go to God Wars 2. It has an active combat system where a fight is manual commands only, no auto attack so to speak. If you wanted to strike with your right hand weapon, you type it in, if you want to whirl it beforehand in order to do a special move, yep, you type in two commands, one to whirl, one to slash/pummel/strike/etc.

My favorite mud is clay based, it feels just right between the toes and if it's thick enough you can draw in it, regular earth based mud just doesn't do it for me.

I think I played that too lol. I'd jump on it when servers were down or I was raging over a death. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
