No mana regen for my necro
Anyone else having a problem with mana regen for their necro Gnome? I'm only level two but my little fella's regen bar just keeps dropping and won't reset even after medding for ages. Went to Guildmaster and tried to train Meditate but he says my skill is already reached - which is 0!
Any advice, tips? Thanks!

You should get 1 or 2 mana per tic (6 seconds) currently.
You can train the meditate skill at level 4. Mana regen is going to be slow for awhile, even after you get meditate. Summon pet, cast your shielding spell and go melee stuff until level 4.

Make sure you have drink on you.

Thanks guys for the advice. I was so used to the 'easy' ways in EQ2 that I'd forgotten about food/drink affecting mana regen in the original EQ. Bought some rations and sat on my butt for a while and now my little fella's up and running with 100% mana. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

This same thing happened to my necro at level 3 or 4 - I forgot about that too. Welcome to P99.

Casters spend more time sitting than fighting at level 3 before you get Meditate. It's your first "Hell Level".

Hmmm, why are you even nuking stuff at level 3?
Cast at it once per mob to pull it then just beat it to death with your staff or dagger. You should get low health about the same time as you are out of mana, sit and recover both then move on. Or if you bum a good hp buff, just keep meleeing and forget the nuking til at least level 5, maybe even beyond depending on your newbie location.
