Default I don't take falling damage...?

I don't take falling damage on my desktop. At first I thought this was probably just some fluke with the server. But falling damage works normally on my laptop.

Levitate is also screwy - my character bobs up and down 2 or 3 times as fast as he should. Drunk effects are the same way. If I tab out of EQ, it slows down to the normal speed.

I don't even know where to begin troubleshooting this. It's so weird.

Thanks. I found the multi-core issue thread by Rogean and have tried every fix in that thread that doesn't require downloading a third party program or rebooting into a single core.

Nothing changed :/

It does sound like a multi-core issue from what they've said in that thread, so I guess I'm going to have to just boot up into a single core if I want this to go away.

Im not at home right now so I cant confirm, but I think I had to adjust the max frame rate slider to fix the head bob thing - never noticed an issue with fall damage though, but could be related.

I play on a i7 6 core w/ 16 GB ram and gtx 590, the headbob thing drove me nuts until I trimmed down max frame rate. I attributed / assumed the speed increase of the bob was due to the faster CPU or graphics card but never bothered to really look into it.

I was having this 'issue' the other day in Kelethin. Fell from there a number of times and took no damage. Also using W7 64bit. That said, I feel from there yesterday or so and did take damage...

At 60FPS your character will fall just like you remember it worked on live.
At 100FPS your character can only fall directly down(regardless of any forward momentum from running), and you will take 0 fall damage.

Not sure why, but I hope this helps ya out.
