And if your pet does all the damage, you get 10% of the exp!

^Yeah I was not a big fan of that change.

However in groups I think as long as one of the group members hits the mob then the pet takes no XP, so if you like playing your magician in groups (which I suggest you do since the population at all levels is pretty active and the community is very nice) then it won't be a problem.

I don't remember much of the actual gameplay in detail, just the wonder of walking through the zones and the adventures I had with the people I met. Which I guess isn't surprising since it's really what I loved about the game in the first place.

What do I need to know about the aggro, if you don't mind me asking?

NINJA EDIT: Yea I knew about the exp penalties. Greedy little guys.

Just pet agro growth is far under where most of us remember it being. Used to have to wait until mob was around 90% or 85% life before you opened fire (get it?) but on P99 you need to wait until 65% life before launching a nuke.

Is the Warrens still a good place to level or was it ever? One of my last memories was with my Wizard and my friend's Cleric killing Muglwump. And I'm pretty sure my Enchanter is still camped outside the Sarnak fortress in Lake of Ill Omen.

Why did I ever stop playing this game?

Oh well.

Is there a more widely used UI or is the normal one generally used? I seem to remember more of the classic UI with the window. I'd love to use it and saw the thread where it was recreated, but my monitor only goes as low as 800x600 so I think that one is out.

Hey man welcome to p99! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] You should play both servers since you can at the same time. In downtime while you are lfg or medding or something you can switch tabs to red server and play there, or vice versa. Hope you enjoy it and have fun! I actually just rolled a character on the pvp server. Send me a pm if you are interested in starting up with me
