I would argue in the right context feeling pleasure from a monetary reward isn't "wrong" butt there are too many contexts which it is infact, bad. Money is dangerous. The appropriate feeling is "sus". Butt necessary in order to be an American.

You shouldn't feel excessive shame either. It's generally a necessity.

If all they did was show me money I would be misdiagnosed with anhedonia. Which is false because there are sensations that are pleasant to the body. Like the taste of iron and salt.

10 million net worth is not all that much. Middle class boomers are worth around 2M these days.
There is probably a dentist parent on the team worth more than she is. I know builders and electricians worth more than she is. No reason she should pay for everything.
