The 'classic feel' was playing something new, that hadn't been done before. Taking away small convenience features doesn't make it feel more classic. just makes it feel older.

This is an argument you can't win, because they won't argue it. If they could force you to play in a 800x600 full screen UI with a single chat box, they would. And I'd still play it.

Same here. Even gave myself full permission in the Everquest folders. Created a new "admin" account to try and fix it. Tried extracting patch in safe mode. Running out of ideas. Concrete ideas.

Got to be something simple that I am not doing. Tried on 2 computers that i run eq on and having same problem with both. So I know it is something I am missing.

FIXED! I am in.

1. I uninstalled Titanium. (I had it installed in a "Program Files" folder, which I'm now learning was a mistake.)
2. Reinstalled the game in a new folder. I made C:\EQ
3. Followed instructions on "Setup Page" here on p1999. (Deleted the arena, nek, lava files listed).
4. Downloaded new patch.
5. Extracted patch into its own folder under "MyDocuments"
6. Copied files over. (Note, I did not copy whole FOLDERS over. I just copied the main files, then went into each sub folder, copied those files and pasted them into the game subfolders. Hope that makes sense.)

It works now. Reposting this on the other thread too. Hope that is okay.
