You can cherry pick meh to pretty awesome stuff all you want. But for every one you find there are easily just as many if not more totally inappropriate items given the level of the mobs relative to what they drop. This stuff was added in PoP era, and wasn't always so great, here its a bit overpowered.

I see some of your point in those examples. For perspective, of course, in the cited example, I should correct you again that your Fabled Skarlon is in fact NOT a level 55 mob, but rather a level 70 raid boss. And you would only be able to kill him maybe 4-5times a year if we are using classic Fabled availability.

Pretty well-tuned when taking all of the details of that sword into account.

We did with 9, 2 clerics. Full VT gear.

Rampages, Enrages, Flurries up to 4,500 total damage confirmed per round.


But as you said, no reason to pick it apart item by item. Its obvious some of the loot is shall we say... very rewarding, but only considering Velious is freshly released.

And on the contrary I'd say that it is certainly not ludicrously rewarding-- given that Fabled does require camping, sometimes for long periods and has an extremely limited availability window with some incredibly difficult mobs. On top of that, would only see a handful of weekends available out of a year to do these camps.

It looks very feasible to slate for sometime next year 2017 without changing any of the itemization, and would be a fun start to the pseudo-custom content nilbog is talking about doing.

I was around during the first Fabled event in 2004. It occurred during the LDoN era.

My live character has the Fabled Ishva Robe and the Fabled J-Boots. Those boots originally had SoW AND I could cast it on others! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] A few days later they nerfed them to self only and a new effect called 'Bootstrutter's Blessing'.

For a short, short time I could give others clicky SoW as a Necromancer.

Awesome, but not Classic.

If we are doing custom content, Fabled is a great starting point. I'm having trouble following you-- I don't see why you included this statement?
