Global OOC is fkin retarded. If you keep it, I think it would turn people off from the server. The only people who want it are the drama queens who like to see themselves type.

Global OOC consists of this:

Douchebags bragging about their basketball skills.
Douchebags responding to said basketball skills with their basketball skills stroking eachother's e-peens.
Bigger douchebags discussing their drug habbits.

It really takes away from the immersion, having a hard time logging in and getting "into" character/the world with all the crap scrolling by.

Get those bugs reports in, you no lifers that are already in your 30's, so beta can end and /ooc with it. I'm ready to get into my "real" toon.

Then TURN IT OFF. Seriously, if you don't like global ooc its really really simple to filter it so it doesn't appear. There, you have your stupid immersion (aka sitting in a zone with only a few, if any people to talk to) and everyone who wants a global channel has it. I would understand people not wanting it in if you had to keep it on, but you don't so this argument boggles my mind.

The only logical argument against global ooc is that it isn't classic, which unfortunately carries a lot of weight here.
