I remember early on that spells with a "snare" effect used to cause huge amounts of agro. Snaring as a ranger used to suck. Folks playing rangers that didn't understand agro properties are possibly the source of all ranger jokes! The agro generated from these spells were heavily reduced but that was 3-4 years after release.

Edit: Oh and it made SKs great tanks for keeping agro.

That's why those daggers suck for rogues, welcome back to classic.

The proc isn't going to change.

Use hide.

Yep i played a rogue on old EQ used to swap that dagger into main hand near end of the fight if we didn't have someone to snare. The old school agro off snare effects is insane same deal with any rogue weapon that procs a stun 8-(

That does suck! I use two SBDs during combat. Luckily, my level is too low right now so they don't proc yet.
